WHAT IS THE TRANSFER OF LAND?<\/span><\/h2>\n

A Transfer of Land is the document which is registered with the Land Title Office of Tasmania to transfer the Certificate of the Title from the Vendor to the Purchaser.<\/span><\/p>\n

The process in Which the TRANSFER IS PREPARED<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

(1) The purchaser\u2019s conveyancer will prepare the transfer of land with the correct name of the purchaser(s) and how they wish to hold the Certificate of Title. i.e. Joint tenants or tenants in common. The transfer also includes the consideration (purchase price) and the Certificate of Title details.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>(2) The purchaser\u2019s conveyancer sends the transfer to the vendor\u2019s conveyance <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

(3) The vendor then signs in front of a witness but not dated.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

(4) The transfer is handed over at settlement to the purchaser\u2019s conveyancer with the Certificate of the Title in exchange of the purchase funds.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

(5) The transfer is registered at the Land Title Office with the registration fee.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
